COUNCIL’S DEMANDS.
Received January 31, 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, Jan. 31. The annual council meeting of the Coal Shale Employees’ Federation carried a ‘ no confidence” motion in the Ministry for its failure to reinstate the strikers victimised h 1917. It also decided to make the lotlowing demands on. the Now Zealand coal owners: A six horns’ shift from bank to bank, a fortnight’s holiday on full pay, and a five day week —Press Association.
