LOCAL COMPETITIONS CONTINUED. Tlio local cricket competitions were resumed mi Saturday, when the matches commenced before the holidays were concluded. In the match between Railway and Midland the former had made 510 in theiri first innings and Midland 63. In their second innings Midland (hatting one man short) scored 120, Railway thus winning by an innings and 127 runs. match between Returned Soldiers and ]/ igh School Old Boys, the former were 155 behind on the first innings, and in their second innings (with nine men) they obtained 61, Old Boys thus winning by an innings and 91 runs.
