SOUTH AUSTRALIA v. N.&. WALES. Per Press Association. I SYDNEY, Jan. 9. In the cricket match South Australia versus New South Wales, South Australia in the first innings made 249 (V. Richardson 45, Gebrs 30, Williams 54. and Bridgeman 65). Bowling analysis: Hendry 4 for 39, Kelloway 3 for 71, Ives 1 for 21, Andrews 1 for 43. New South Wales in their first innings have lost 3 wickets for 76 (Bardsley 14, Tozer not out 27). WELLINGTON v. CANTERBURY. (Peb Pbebb Association.) - WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. Wellington’s second innings closed for 262. Canterbury went in about 4 o’clock, and when stumps were drawn had lost 2 wickets for 160 (Blunt not out 77, -Patrick not out 54).
NOMADS DEFEAT WELLINGTON B. WELLINGTON, Jan. 9. The match between Nomads and Wellington B team resulted in a win for the former by an innings and 94 runs. Nomads made 400, Collins scoring 144 by a fine exhibition of cricket. Ashford and Orton also batted well, making 70 and 60 respectively. Wellington made a very poor showing in their second innings, being dismissed for 68, of which Hughes made 21. Bernau took 5 Wellington wickets for 27, and Ashford 4 for 39.
