LONDON, Jam, 8,
Preliminaries for the British Empire Exhibition, which is to be held in 1921, have been completed. Tire exhibition will probably be held at Regent’s Park. The Imperial, Dominions and Colonial Governments have expressed approval of the undertaking, which will be on a vast scale, involving tremendous organisation, which will be set in operation at the earliest moment. The Duke of Argyle has accepted the presidency. Mr Lloyd George is president of the Grand Council, and other members of the Cabinet and distinguished persons are vicepresidents of the Council. The overseas section includes Messrs Hughes and Massey and Sir John Taverner. The secretary, in an interview, says that the Exhibition will be the biggest thing ever seen in Britain, and is scheduled to last six months, and will probably last two years. It may even develop into a permanent showroom for Imperial commerce.
