MURDER EPIDEMIC.
WOMEN FATALLY STABBED. LOVE. AN'D MADNESS, LONDON, Dec. 27. Magistrates and the police are commenting on the continued prevalence of capital crinies. The latest examples include the mysterious murder of Kathleen Breaks, a young ami beautiful married woman, who was stabbed in the neck and head. Ilor body was found on a lonely beach between Blackpool and Stannes-on-Sca. Frederick Rothwell Holt, a young man and a former army officer, has been arrested aiid charged with the murder. ■ Another strange case is reported from Liverpool. Bella Wilson, a middle-aged woman, was found in the street with several stabs. Flbr body was nude, her clothes being piled near by. It is 'believed that she was murdered by a madman. Investigation by the Times 1 into the Breaks murder indicates that death was lingering, and due to shock, loss of blood ai|d exposure, extending for many hours. ThoTonoliness of the scene of the crime left, oiijy the slenderest hope of timely discovery. 'lll dv:id woman has been separated from her husband for 18 months, and the tragedy is apparently the result.of a Jove affair.
