At Aldington market to-day-there was an average yarding of fat cattle, but a small' entry of'lambs and a moderate yarding- ol fat sheep. Beef prices remained firm at recent rates,.but mutton advanced about 5s on recent rates, and lambs improved in value about 3s on the sale preceding Christmas, when there was a pjlufc. A total of 70C fat lambs were penned, compared with -3400 at tile double sale on December 18, Extra prime lambs to 345, prime 29s 6d to 33s 3d, medium 24s 7d to 28s 6d, lighter 18s to 24s 6d. There was a big yarding of store slieep, including a number from the Chatham Isolds, which topped the market. Prices were about two shillings easier than at the pro-holiday sales. Store cattle formed a moderate entry, which 'mot with a keener demand than recently. A line of thred-year steers made up to £l2 15s. There was an average entry of dairy cows, and the demand was good.
