CUBA STREET METHODIST CHURCH.
QUARTERLY MEETING
The above meeting was held in the Church vestry, and was presided over by the Rev. A. Ashcroft. There was i good representation of the circuit ifficials. Apologies for absence wore eceived from Messrs Hoddcr, Vivian, Hiver, Inkppn, and Horn. Mernership returns disclosed 2*27 senirs and 03 juniors. In present;ig their financial statement the ircuit stewards were able to show a redit balance of over CIS. 01' this sum JlO was voted to the, fund for erecting >, new church; Et was' decided that durng the current quarter Foreign Mission Day be observed; also that, the
|| Harvest Festival be held. m . The chairman welcomed Messrs Field Mji' and Philpott to the circuit. A hearty a* vote of congratulation was accorded to »■■'Mr W. Flatt on the great success of M. the cantata, 4'Fsther, the .Beautiful Mi, Queen," * recently rendered under his im' .•onductorship. Cordial reference was H also made to the highly efficient state the choir. ■ It was decided that Mr T. R. liodder '.fflCjbe elected to represent the circuit at he conunK conference at Auckland. Mr i Field was appointed substitute rofj rrcsentative. Messrs "W. Flatt and J. I'. (Refreshments were provided by the |ladies, for which they were accorded the thanks of the meeting. Proceedings were closed with the Benediction.
