ROSS CREATES A RECORD.

The New South Wales quarter-mile swimming championship was won by Ross (America), Longworth second, Brown third. Tho race was won in the'easiest manner by 20 yards, m smin. 22sec. Norman Ross, tho American swimmer, established a world's record-;time in the 440 yards swimming- championship. He could have improved his time as the result was never in doubt. , , The 220 yards breast stroke championship resulted: Findlav 1, Beck 2, Furncss 3. Finlay won by sis yards, his time being o minutes 20 seconds.
