SHORTAGE OF BENZINE
A Press Association message from Auckland reports a Ijcflzino famine in Auckland, and t)iat several loading linns are absolutely without stocks. Others have a tew cases in hand., hut these are being merely held forthe completion of regular orders. A cargo ol 50,000 cases is expected next week, and this should relieve the position.-To-day’s Dominion states that I there is at present a temporary. shortage of bonziuo in New Zealand, not owing to there being any diminution in supply. hut owing to .the recent big shipping strike on the East Coast of the United States, which upset the shipping rather 'seriously, and prevented 1 vessels taking benzine cargoes, from getting away bn schedule time. In Wellington the shortage is not being felt very acutely, as the Waihora’is at present discharging a small cargo.
