General Denikcn’s Caucasus army, which is struggling to escape southward towards Ekatcrniador. The latter is lighting heavy rearguard actions, but another Red army marching north to the Don threatens to cut b off. The Ukraine front is less active. . The Daily Mail reports that General Denikcn’s scattered forces arc now cm the verge of annihilation. They have been driven into the fastnesses of the Caucasus mountains, • . STOCKHOLM, Jan. 6. • An Esthonian communique dated .limitary 5 states that the armistice began to-day, but tiny Bolsheviks at noon opened _ lire against Esthoniaii workers on the Narva front, breaking the armistice.
