A party of Wellington lads, members of St. Peter’s Mission, St. Peter’s Choir Scouts, Brooklyn Scouts, and the “Stop Out” Club, about 140 strong, under Chap-lain-Captain Taylor and Scout Masters, Dent and Phillips, who are camping on the race-course over the holiday season, gave a concert in the Town Hall on Monday evening. There was a good attendance of the public, who thoroughly enjoyed the lads’' efforts, and fhe sweet treble voices of Masters' Chalk and Haley \,mre much appreciated. Scout Master D ?nt said a few words in favour of the Scout movement. He said that lads as a ruk\ are just healthy specimens of masculine gender, more often than not in mischief,. and they are the future men of our countay. Ho urged the local people to . form a company of scouts. At the conclusion of the programme cheers were given by the scouts for the \shhwrst people, and counter-cheers for those who had taken part.
