FOOD PRICES IN GERMANY.
Bv Electric Telegraph—Cenvright Australian-New Zealand Cable Associatiol Received January 7. 9.55 a.m. . BERLIN, Jan.\s. The new official prices include flour 7fd. per lb; bread, 6|d; potatoes, 23d. Potatoes are in short supply and the full ration is not available. It may be exhausted in March. Butter is 12s 4d per lb, representing a rise of one hundred nor cent; margorino, 6s sd. meat 4s 3d. the ration being half a pound weekly. There is an acute shortage of coal. The majority of the houses seem to be without coal. Bricquettes are selling at 145s per ton.
