WAR-TIME PROHIBITION.

Tho Supreme Court has decided that the Volstead Act, which enforces wartime prohibition, is constitutional, and beverages containing one-half per cent, or more of alcohol are intoxicating, and thus cannot be sold.

The breweries have received a sever© blow by the decision of the Supreme Court that 2.75 per cent, is illegal. The Court upheld the action of Congress in declaring intoxicating and preventing the sale of beverages containing one-half per cent, or more of alcohol. I The decision is regarded as_ a definition that will stand under constitutional prohibition, and appears to mean a “bone dry” nation.
