ACTED AS BRITISH SPY
LONDON, Dec. 22. A message from Berlin states that Victor Sami nor, a native of Bendigo (Australia), has boon charged,, .with traxid and robbery, the prosecutor alleging that he is identical with Baron-von Scheuck, the notorious agent.*; >.• • vSandner has admitted that he acted as -,a.* British spy at the; war, working among the German sqldiers, inducing them to desert, and supplying them with forged passes- He also , sent a number of spies, to the (German front disguised, in officers’ uniforms. Sanducr declares that the charge against him is the result of mistaken identity, because he did not need .the money, as the Secret Service kept him ■plentifully supplied, .with funds.
