ADMIRAL BEATTY’S APPEAL.

Admiral Beatty, interviewed, said that owing to. the reduction of the naval personnel, 20 000 long service naval men who had fought gallantly in the war wore now unemployed and suffering distress in spite ot their pensions. Ho gives details of the. brave deeds of several of the men whose families are practically starving. He points, out that skilled mechanics, electricians and engineers are handicapped in seeking employment by tire trades union bir regarding apprenticeship. He suggests that the bar should not be applied to tlmm.-cnd appeals to employers to give discharged naval men an opportunity of earning a living.
