ALLIED RELIEF MEASURES LACK AMERICAN CO-OPERATION.

It is now announced that immediate steps are being taken in England. France and. Italy to give relief; .Italy is sending grain and England large consignmento of fats <md i other foodstuffs. It is also being • arranged that Czocho-Slorakia, Jugb-Sln.via and Poland shall release a largoVnumbcr of railway trucks for Austrian ■ use.' These. measures are, however, purely temporary, as it is felt that nothing permanent _ can be attempted, till America falls into line with her allies "regarding aid to ex-enemies.
