BABY ’PLANES.
NEW "POCKET” MACHINE. .MAN CAN SPAN WINGS. LONDON, Doc. 90. Baby aeroplanes, contrasting with aerial liners, are the latest products of the inventive genius. A British pocket machine, known'as the'“ Austin Whippet.” is so small "that a man can span its wings. It is 1(5 feet long, and has i speed of 9G miles an hour. The wings can he folded for transport. Another machine called tho “British Crow” doubles into a parcel, only 2201b ill weight. The tiniest craft at the Paris Aero Show is a Frctfyh "Baby Narcay,” which lias a (span of 13 feet, and a 10 horse-power engine, developing a speed of (52 miles an hour. It lands at a speed of 20 miles. These gnats fly alongside their big brothers, the Capronis and the Vimys, like impudent insects alongside birds.
