SUMMER CHAIVrPIONSini^.v hj. l. young Reads for i CHAMPIONSHIP. The competition for the Palmerston North Golf Club’s summer championship was proceeded with yesterday afternoon on the links, and the closing scores for the day showed 11. L. Young to he leading hy one stroke from W. Seifert. In conjunction with the championship contest a bogey handicap was played, Lewis again being successful,- be having tied. With \V. Seifert with 4 up. The weather to-day was all that could he desired for the continuation of the summer championship. The greens were in fairly good condition considering the lack of rain and amount of wind experienced during the past season. The following are yesterday’s results: Championship.—ll. L.
