PALACE. “The Treasure of Heaven,” by Mario Corelli, was one of the best sellers in its day, and it was inevitable that it should eventually be adapted for the picture screen. The 6-reel production by the Tiger Film Co. is to be shown to-night at the Palace for the last time. It is a sweetly pretty play, the principal character being an old man, David ilelmsloy, who, although he was a millionaire, was lonely, and longed for someone to love him for himself alone, and not for his money. How he sots out as a tramp and finds it where he least expected it is finely told in this British play, winch excels in the j beauty of its English scenery. EVERYBODY’S. “Shackled” tolls the story of a loyal wdinaii who fights the merciless puppets of society to save those she loves, and whose love is her reward. More sinned against than sinning, devoid cfvicmus instinct, she still was unable to fight the battle o life and her love blinded her to the real purpose of the cad who had persuaded her against the dictates of her only ally, hoi conscience. Louise Glaum takes the leading part. ROSY. The Mutual Co. are producing some very good pictures lately, and “A Square Deal,” with Margarita Fischer in the lead (assisted by Jack Mower), is one of the best of them.
