Negotiations between Germany and Holland regarding tho supply of coal have opened'at The Hague. Tho question of Holland granting Germany credits will also be disoussed. BERLIN, Deo. 26. A shortage of coal has idled the Hamburg rolling mills.

The coal famine is increasing in seriousness in France, especially ;<s coal from Germany is not arriving, and many factories are working short time in order to prevent the excessive use of lighting and heating. Tho Government has prohibited NewYear's Eve festivities in hotels and restaurants.
