NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Palmerston North-Kairanga River Board to borrow from the State Advances Office the sum of seven thousand poiinds, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,” for a period of thirty-six years, at 5J- per cent, per annum ; ’plus I per cent, sinking fund, for the following purposes, viz.:— The construction of protective works at the Eitzroy Bond, and Anderson’s Bend, on the Mannwatu river, iii accordance with a scheme prepared by the Public Works Department, and adopted by the Palmerston North-Kairanga River Board. For the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges hi the - said loan, the Palmerston North-Kairanga River Board purposes making a Special Rate on the unimproved value on all properties situated in the Board’s district, in the following proportions:— Class A\ a rate of 1-lth of a penny in the £.
