REVOLVER DUEL.
MAN WOUNDED. An altercation which occurred on December 16 in the bar of a hotel at Surrey Hills (New South Wales) finished up with a revolver duel, during which one man was wounded. One of the men walked into the hAck parlor of the hotel about 5.30. An argument with another man became warm, and u revolver was dra.wn The other man »lsp produced a revolver, and both stopped back a few Varda. A shot was fired, fallowed by, a second and a third. A fourth shot struck one of the men in the, temple, lie put away his gun, and the argument ended. For some time the party remained in theparlor. After a while they decided to go, and as tjioy were leaving the place one of the men, was heard to say: We are all mates.’’ They wore not afterwards seen. I It is thought that, the wounded'man was only slightly hurt.' The police have searched for him at the hospitals and elsewhere, but without success.
