Astras lias Won a thought-reader all her life—it was discovered that oven as a tiny child she could road the thoughts of her mother and anticipate what she was about to be told, and acted without being told; so it is quite natural that she should develop these powers as she grew up, and to-day she stands as the greatest example of a thought-fender or clairvoyant ever known in these parts. As a stage setting, Astras has a live tiger and lion cub, and those animals help to create an atmosphere for her weird act. Silvester, the magician, has some cabinet illusions after the style of Muskeline and Levant s, and has his audiences absolutely fogged and puzzled by the dexterity of his legerdemain. In one act he has a lady suspended horizontally in mid-air from the stage unsupported in any way. His many tricks arc clever, and ns ho has been brought up in the business, patrons can be assured of a good entertainment, hi - vostcr’s father mid grandfather were each magicians at the top of the tree in their profession.
