FIGHTING THE MAHSUDS. A STIFF ENGAGEMENT. , By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Australian-New Zealand Cable Association DELHI, Dec, 22. Official news from Waziristan shows that the troops encountered stubborn resistance from the Mahsuds and the- Waiia-Waziris in capturing the’ hills in the neighbourhood of Mandanna-Kach. The SixtySeventh Brigade had heavy fighting on December 19 and 20, and only on the following - day succeeded in attaining their objective. , The casualties as-'the result of this engagement were 200, including 15 British officers. -
