PRESBYTERIAN SUNDAY SCHOOL.
The annual picnic of the Palrncrston North Presbyterian Sunday School was held on Mr' ■Miitheson's property at AVhakaronga on Saturday. There wajs a good, attendance, about 125 children and 40 adults feeing present. The picnickers Left Palmerston by the 11.80 a.m. train and arrived at their destination about an hour, later. Alter a most enjoyable dinner, games were in- (
dulged in until afternoon tea was sow-. ed. The children wore then amuseduntil train time, and tho party arrived home about 9 p.m. Mr Matheson who is superintendent of the Sunday School, and an energetic body of lady teachers, contributed largely to the success of the outing. . . • • ' At the Sunday' School prize-giving .ceremony held yesterday, about 30 prizes were presented lor the assembly examinations, and a further 32 were Given as class prizes. A number ot gifts were also handed to tho children of tho primary division.
