Tanners did not exercise their right of 'selection quite so 'freely to-day as on provioua occasions; iu fact, they only selected superior and heavy ox and. superior and light cow hides, leaving the medium, inferior, kips and yearling hides and tht majority of calfskins to be. submitted n>auction."
