A SAD OCCURRENCE.
Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Dec. 20.
A woman named Constance Holts was arrested at Pokeno. this morning charged with having murdered her child, aged two years. Her husband is a railway surfaceman and lie left home early to get the mail. On returning ho found a perambulator track leading to a creek. His wife was struggling in four or live feet .ol water- and the child’s body was on the, bottom of the creek. It is alleged that the woman had been rather strange in hoi manner for some time.
