Roberts, Food Controller, •speaking in the House of Commons, said that some form of supervision of food supplies must be exercised for at least three years. It was proposed to free all bomo-grown agricultural products except moat, by June. Mr Cecil Hannsworth (Under-Secretary for Foreign Affairs) said that the food situation in Vienna was critical. There would bo no food in Austria after the week-end. The Allies were doing their utmost to hasten relief.

The signatories include Earl laig, General Cavan and Sir R. S. Horne. Iho Government fully sanctions and apdoves of the appeal, ami will give £ for £ assistance.

- PARIS, Deo. 16. The Supreme Council has clrcidcd to send to Austria 30,000 tons of wheat which is stored in Trieste. The Allies will guarantee the country’s revictualling until April, when they will grant Austria a substantial loan or credit.
