Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Doc. 19. The final figures for New Zealand for the licensing referendum Show that prohibition is 1501 votes short of an absolute-majority of tho votes polled. Tho official figures are,— Continuance 231,258 State Control 30,447 Prohibition 360,434 This afternoon news was received that tho voting of soldiers in England lias resulted:— Continuance State Control 230 Prohibition ...w...b. . 35 Though the figures arc not official, there is reason to believe they aro correct. This return increases the majority against prohibition to 1640. CONTINUANCE LEAD 1526. Later. The votes of soldiers returning from Samoa in tho Talnne wore: Continuance. 2; State control, 1; prohibition, 2. . With alterations in-tho Waipawa and Oroua totals this now gives prohibition a minority vote of 1526,
