A BOY'S DEATH.
INQUEST AT HAMILTON. HAMILTON. March 7. An enquiry was held before Mr W. F. Mason, acting-coroner, and a jury, into circumstances surrounding the death of a ! hoy named Shostrom, 61. years old, son ; of Arvid Shostrom, of Cambridge, who was admitted to Waikato Hospital on Febrn- ■ ary IG, and died on February 20. Evidence showed that the lad pulled over a i saucepan of boiling water while taking down it toy from the maiitlopioce. Medical evidence showed that the boy sustained extensive scalds on the legs, abdomen, one side, and arm, while he was also suffering from shock when admitted to the hospital. The actual cause of death was heart failure, followed by toxic absorption. A verdict of death caused by accidental scalding was returned.
