Tho Government Meteorologist wired at noon to-day:—Tho indications are for moderate to strong .southerly winds and veering by west to north shortly. The weather will probably prove cold and showery, but tho indications arc i'or. a temporary improvement soon. Tho barometer has a rising tendency.
