PROPOSED NEW DIOCESE.
(Pkb Press Association,! NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 13. A conference of the Anglican clergy aiui laity from the proposed Taranaki Diocese, which embraces portions of the Auckland *and Wellington provinces, with Bishop Avorill presiding, was held to-day. It was decided to take immediate steps to create a sepaiv ate Diocese and to raise an endowment fund of £25,000.
