THE WHEAT INDUSTRY.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE SET UP. TO ACT WITH CONTHOIiLKfI. (Pan PIIKSS AsSOOUTION.) CUB-JSTCHURCH, Nov. 1. It was decided by the Wheat Committee to-day that'an Advisory Committee should he set up to act in conjunction with the Controller, who will bo appointed, in controlling the industries connected with wheat. The personnel of the committee is not complete, but it includes four representatives jroin each industry. The milleiV represent atiVes are'. Mr Mulligan (Tim-'p-u'i Mr Ireland (Oamiiru)', Mr 801 l tAuckland), and Mr P. H. Corson tCliristchureh). Messrs I). .Jones. C. Horrell and J. Talbot- were appointed as the fanners' representatives, and probably another will be appointed to represent North Otago. Before the conference was concluded ;i motion was passed expressing; appreciation of the. courteous manner in which the lion. W. 1). S. Mac Donald had met the conference and the delegates, and of the a'blo way in winch he had smoothed out the few difficulties that arose. . \ motion was passed thanking the Hoard of Trade for the expedition it. showed by preparing in three weeks apracticable and workable scheme 011 ,uch si complex subject. It was decided unanimously UuH in the opinion ol Hie conference 'the Hoard- of Trade should be entrusted with the duty of carrying out the. scheme to the end.
