Butter is in active demand owing to tho short supplies, and there are no official quotations with the exception of Paris, 256s 8d Argentine 2205, unsalted 2235. New Zealand stocks are exhausted. The cheese market continues firm, all at Government prices Hemp: The Manila market is «low end there, is no change. The New Zealand market is practically cleared. Business is dull for forward shipment on account ot tho freight difficulty. For spot, and near at hand hemp is in active demand at Government prices.
