FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
The: Loyal Mauiiwatu Lodge, M.T ~ f.0.0.F., held its I'ortniglitly meeting hist evening, and was. presided over by NC Ri-o \\ IL Cowburn. A visit was received from [>.(•■ Sister Pitcher, ol Hie Loyal Ponsonby Lodge, who was welcoin'ed bv P.G. Hro. P. Hughes (as V.(.F). and duly resiwudcd. Interesting letters were received from the front from Bros. E. N. Boddington and S Wright. A vote ol condolence was passed to P.O. Rio. W„ L. Rockstrow in connect ion with the death ol Jus brother while on active service. Ihe deputies reported upon the' business transacted at the recent special mooting of the Wanganui District., and wore accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
