HE SHOT HIMSELF.

His health worried him, and lie took a despondent view ot overythiim-, but never mentioned suicidt-. During the last week he had been reprimanded regarding his work hut he seemed to get over it. Yesterday he was normal, fit might be inferred, said Mr Harper, "that being down on his annual audit, there was some irregularity in his books. There is not; we have got no reason to believe that there are anv irregularities in Ins accounts. The only complaint was that his work was not done promptly. Wo never questioned his honesty, and there is no reason to do so after reading Die letters left bv Lennon. which arc not in any way a confession." Deceased was GO years of age, and his wife resides in New Plymouth. The Coroner m turned a verdict that Lennon shot himself while temporarily of unsound mind.
