CITIZENS’ LOYAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Palmerston North Citizens’ Loyal Association was held ill the Zealand!:! Hall on Monday night. There was a large attendance. The important busincs'- - o) phe meeting turned on a discussion to bold a public meeting, with the object of vindicating the character of lie- Biilisb people,, and tbo soldiers who returned from the front against the slanders which had been heaped upon them. It was unanimously decided to bold a public meeting in Everybody's Theatre next Sunday ( Veiling, the speakers, to be .Messrs Graham, Brady and 'I homson. It was decided that 20 acres at least, of first-class land was nK-essary for a man .o make a good living, but that 30 or 40 acres would he better.
