WHY DON DATO RESIGNED. MADRID, Oct. 29. A commission from Barcelona, representing the unanimous views of the military, started for Madrid bearing- a peremptory message to King Alfonso, with instructions to withhold it, if decision wore meanwhile reached on the policy of satisfying: tho military junta’s aspirations. _ Don Dato, tho Premier, learning of tlip junta’s action, objected to the military seeking to address the King directly, instead of conveying their wishes through the Minister of War. Don Dato forthwith conferred with Alfonso for two hours and finally resigned. GERMANS RRE THEIR OWN GUNBOAT. RIO JANIERO, Oct, 28.
