LABOUR MEETING.

DEMANDS RESIGNATION OF GOVERNMENT. At a well attended meeting of electors of Palmerston North, held fa the Flaxmill Employees’ Union Hall last evening, Mr J. McGhme presiding, it was unanimously decided that a petition lie got up and placed before the electors lor their signatures demanding that tho present Government resign office. The reasons given for this demand were; That Lite Government had proved its inability to deal with tho cost ol living question, and had completely failed to protect the people from the iniquitous exploitation by the profiteering classes; that an inefficient Government was a serious menace to public welfare, and must therefore lie removed. A committee of twenty was appointed by tho meeting to carry the resolution into effect. Mr 11. Ross was elected secretary.
