LEVIN AND CO., LTD. During the past week we held yard sales at Rongotea and Feilding. At Rongotea we had a «rood yarding of all classes and a good attendance of buyers. Bidding right through for sheep and l rattle was spirited, and we made a total clearance with the exception of one small lot of cattle, prices on the whole being in advance of those ruling at last sale. At Feilding an exceptionally heavy yarding of all classes came forward. The offering in sheep consisted principally in hoggets, and the market was weak, prices showing a slight decline on last week's rate-. The demand for cattle, particularly dairy cattle and young stock, was particularly active and prices were very firm. Fats and grown steers were not in great demand and prices were slightly easier. A large offering of bulls of all classes were for the most part keenly competed for. At Addington market to-day there were larger vardings of stock in all the principal departments, and prices all round were generally easier. Fat cattle showed a decline of about £2 per head. Dry store sheep were down about 2s fid, and ewes by Is 6d to 2s 6d compared with a fortnight before. Larger yardings of fat sheep and fat lambs also resulted in lower values, the former being down bv 3s or 4s per head, and towards the end of the sale competition fell away altogether. The store cattle pens contained among the offerings the largest number of 3 and 4-yr cattle, most of them from Southland, that have been seen in the yards for some time. This class of cattle met with a good demand, and sold up to £l6 per head. Other sorts were difficult to dispose of, and many were passed. Tigs were easier.
