WAR BONUS TO CIVIL SERVANTS.
TO BE PAID AS LAST YEAR. The following telegram was received hi Palmerston this afternoon from Mr A. T. Combs, secretary to the Post and Teleeraph Association, in "regard to the war *#rma In civil servants: "Have received the following' telegram from Sir Joseph Ward: In reply to" vour wire I can only say that rumour', as lias so often proved, is a lying hide. The position is that a war bonus eimihtr to that of last year will be placed on the supplementary estimates and be payable after the Appropriation Bill naa been passed by Parliament."
