THE A. AND P. ASSOCIATION'S SHOW. The Showgrounds are already showing signs of preparation for next week's big event, the stewards for the school exhibits being busily engaged to-day arranging the entries for judging. Tho total entries this year constitute a record, in spite of the war, and keen competition may bo looked for in all tho classes. Early next week the school exhibits will bo ready for judging, and a start will probably be mado with this big task on Tuesday. The grounds are in splendid condition. Visitors are already beginning to arrive, and it is understood that all available accommodation has been booked up. The special train service will be greatly appreciated by country residents, and thcro is little doubt that given line weather the 1917 Show \sill prove a record one m every way. A GLASS-EMBOSSING ENTERPRISE. \u exhibit, that should attract considerable attention at the forthcoming Show is the display to he shown by Messrs Lucas and Williams, of Quiii street, Wellington. This enterprising linn of wholesale and retail glass embossers and decorators intends to demonstrate many artistic bevelled glassmirror novelties. The visitors will be impressed by the splendid array of draught boards, fire screens, table centres, over mantles, and other lines too varied to enumerate. To the "man in the street" the limits of the glass-embossing and decorating line are not many, but the linn intend to display most graphically the beautiful novel, ties that they have produced, and the public would bo well advised to inspect the stand carefully. Messrs Lucas and Williams' representative will be pleased to give any information pertaining to the trade, and visitors to the Showground* arc cordial];. invited to ask for estimates, etc., which uil| be gladly submitted. The. firm intimate-, that they employ the best artists in New Zealand, and the public will thus bo able to inspect the best of work. Readers are requested to bear in mind the announcement appearing on page 1, and to mako a point of witnessing the linn's artistic novelties in Wednesday and Thursday.
