SEAMEN’S STRIKE.

BOATS TO SAIL TO-DAY. The shipowners arc acting promptly in connection with the altered rcinaniuiig of the small steamers, sanctioned by the Minister for Marine. The Kopuni adjusted compasses in the harbour yesterday, and with the Wakatu, and probably others of the “Mosquito fleet,” will leave port today. The loading of some of the steamers was commenced yesterday. The altered conditions of manning in no way mean a reduction in the strength of die crews of the small boats. They simply mean the supplanting of the strikers by masters or mate;, of some of the other boats which may for a time remain tied up at the wharf. —Dominion.
