FATAL BOAT ACCIDENT.

CAPSIZED IN THE BREAKERS. (PaE Peess Association.) GISBORNE. Oct. LM. A party consisting; of Mr and Mrs John Stevenson and infant, and Mr and Mrs' Robert Bell were boating in the bay this afternoon, when the craft capsized in the breakers. Ralph Morse, Harbour Board signalman, who was on the beach, rushed into the surf and rescued the baby, and Mr Bell and others from the beach assisted Mr Stevenson to bring ids wife ashore. Airs Boll’s body was recovered shortly afterwards, but though artificial respiration and oxygen injections were kept up. for four hours there was no sign of life.
