RUSSIA OPENS THE DOOR. TO THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. Received October 24, 11.0 a.in. ROME, Oct. 22. Tho Russian Minister has handed the Pope tho text of the new religious law, whereby tho Pope appoints the metropolitan archbishop and bishops, subject to tho Russian Government’s approval. The Pope will he free to make minor appointments if ho informs the Government. The Jesuits will be re admitted to Russia and all religious societies will be allowed full liberty of association. Conversions to Catholicism will bo allowed.
