Yesterday’s casualty list contains the following from this district:—Killed in action: Second-I.icut. J. L. Bennett (F. Bennett, Otaki. m) ; Private J. T. Knox (A. Knox, Kirnbolton, mj. Died of wounds: Private F. W. .Mawhiney (\V. Mawhhiney, Bunnytliorpe. m); Rifleman R. Stevenson (A. Stevenson, Pahiatua, f); Rifleman G. Beck (A. Beck, Feilcling, in); Private A. Fraser (S. Fraser, Bulls, sister) Wounded: Pvt. D. H. Humphrey (W. J. Humphrey. Pahiatua. f); Private G. T. Elliott (J. Elliott, Pahiatua, f) ; Private R. Wells (W. Wells, Marion, f); Private H. Leech (0, Leech, Palmerston North). Yesterday’s hospital report mentions the names of Pvt. T. R. Baldwin {Palmerston North) as dangerously ill, and Pvt. C, T. Dennan (Palmerston North) as still seriously ill.
