SECOND DIVISION PROTEST.
(Tfiß PRBBB Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 22. At a largely attended |>ublic meeting hold in His Majesty's Theatre the following resolution was carried: That this public meeting of citizen of Christchurch supports the protest of the Second Division League against the Government's refusal to grant the allowances asked for by the Second Division League for married soldiers, and urges the Government to reconsider the position in view of the fact that no proof has been given to the public that the Dominion cannot afford to grant those demands.
