Tho Wairarapa. Show is to bo held at. Carterton on WedneKlav and Thursday, next, and. provided fh<-\ weather is favourable, this year's show will bo oho of .the best over hold by the Society. Cattle entrieS are a.'.-record for tho Society, being ,50 in excess of tho previous best, The sheep exhibits show a falling off in," mini- ' ber, owing to one or two Exhibitors being unable to show. Competition will, never- : ihelcss'. be strong in .Lincolns, Romneys, and ! Southdowns.' Route particularly good hoir- ! gets in thec!*'classes' \yill be exhibited. Tho j season has been against fretting fat sheep | and lambs ready for, the Show, and these j classes are not so well filled as usual, but there will be, keen competition between j Messrs I?«id' and Sons, of-Foildind, and I Messrs > Fisher P.ros.. of Carterton. The •'pigs will be a fine* Jot., and include.', strong ■ entries from Mrs'Jf. Wall, of Hastings,; and the I'oiinia Mental Hospital..
