A SERIOUS CHARGE.
(Fes Prjbn Arhooiation.) AUCKLAND, Oct. 21. Francis Walker (62) has been arrcsled on it charge that at Korakomti, near To Awamutu, in June he. incited Gilbert Walker to refuse to render service :ts it. member of the expeditionary forces. The arrested man is the father of tho young man, Gilbert Walker, who was arrested about it fortnight ago by the police as an alleged military deserter under dramatic circumstances tit Korakonui. when the young man was found to .he in possession of firearms and ammunition, and his actions .indicated a possible intention to stand off Hie police by a. show of firearms. The lather was remanded to Te Awamutu till Friday next. Bail of £I(.K) was granted.
