P.N. LADIES' SWIMMING CLUB.

The annual meeting of the Pulmerston North Ladies' Swimming Club wan held in tin' Foresters.' Hal) kit>r evening. The pre--.i.li nt. Mr K. 11. Crabb. presided, and their was a good attendance of members. \oologies were received from the Mayor (Mr J. A. Nash, (Jr. Rolfe, and Mr 11. L. Young. The annua! report congratulated llie club mi the, good progress made during the first vein- of its existence, 64 members being now in financial standing. Owing to the disadvantages of the river, not much progress could be made with tuition of swimming, j and one of the chief aim,-, of the incoming I committee should be the provision of facilities for girls of the town to acquire ibis iteccsoary accomplishment.
